Congregation B'nai Sholom
Cemetery, Inc.

A permanent, safe, and well-maintained burial place for members of the
Jewish faith.

Since 1970, members of The Congregation B’nai Sholom Synagogue of Newington (“CBS”) have lovingly cared for cemetery land located on Jordan Lane Extension in Wethersfield, Connecticut.  For decades, Jews in the greater-Hartford community have been able to reliably count on these hallowed grounds being honored, protected, and cared for with love.

In 2011, members of CBS decided to merge with another local synagogue and form Congregation B’nai-Tikvoh Sholom in Bloomfield.  At that time, it was determined that the best way to care for the cemetery then and in the future was for the cemetery to become a separate legal entity.  Though this change was significant in many positive ways, the Congregation B’nai Sholom Cemetery Inc.’s commitment to providing the highest level of care for both loved ones buried in the cemetery and for community members interested in preparing for the future by purchasing plots, has never waned.

As the pictures here confirm, our cemetery permits only gravesite footstones.  Consequently, a bucolic and pastoral setting is ensured.  Visitors view our special cemetery as a unique memorial park.
